Fishing Festival to Promote Tonghe Tourism Brand

 An opening ceremony for the first Harbin Tonghe Fishing Festival is held in Datong River Water Reservoir on May 1.  It's an effort for Tonghe county to boost its tourism industry combining recreational fishing, sightseeing and cultural sample.  

 A traditional sacrifice ceremony praying for good harvest is held at the first Harbin Tonghe Fishing Festival in Datong River Water Reservoir on May 1. Datong county, located in the southern foothill of Lesser Khingan Mountains and the north bank of Songhua River, has beautiful landscapes and rich natural resources. Upon its completion, it will also be connected to Harbin and Jiamusi with a one-hour trip by the Harbin-Jiamusi railway.
