Harbin Airport Opening Flights to 11 Russian Cities

Up to June 30th, totally 59438 sorties for transport flight taking-off and landing have realized at Harbin Taiping International Airport, with passenger throughput of 7.873 million person/times, and total cargo of 58,000 tons, which are respectively increased by 14.6%, 15.4% and 6.6%. In the first half year of this year, the passenger throughput of Harbin Taiping International Airport is ranking at the first place in Northeast. Meanwhile, flights to 11 cities like Moscow in Russia and etc., and the quantity is only ranking after Beijing Capital Airport in China, and has established its status of Russian-oriented portal airport.

After opened the first No.5 traffic right flight-Yekaterinburg-Harbin-Bangkok in Northeast China in 2015, another flight from Harbin to St. Petersburg is opened again at Harbin Taiping International Airport this year. Currently, there are flights available at Harbin Taiping International Airport to 11 cities in Russia-Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Krasonyarsk, Irkutsk, Yakutsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok and Chita with total of 20 flights per week.

Besides the flights to Russia, the number of flights from Harbin Taiping International Airport to Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia are also keep increasing, and the current flights available including flights to 4 cities in Korea-Seoul, Cheju, Cheongju and Yangyang, flights to 4 cities in Japan-Tokyo, Nigata, Osaka and Nagoya, and the flights to Southeast Asian cities as Bangkok, etc. Currently, there are totally 40 domestic and overseas airliners operating at Harbin Taiping International Airport, including Air China, China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Hainan Airlines and Asian Airlines of Korea, etc., with flights open to 96 cities. Nearly 200 domestic (including regional) and international flights are open, and has preliminarily established an air traffic network covering major domestic cities and connecting with the surrounding countries like Russia, Japan and Korea, etc. with Harbin as the traffic center.
