Harbin Streamlining Customs Procedures for NE China E-commerce

The customs office of the city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province recently announced its new measures to improve customs procedures for companies involved in cross-border e-commerce, according to the local Harbin Daily of July 3, which notes that the new move is market- and enterprise-oriented, and a response to some complaints about complicated procedures and lack of efficiency.

The new moves call for customs clearances to be handled 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for qualified cross-border e-commerce and a workflow chart to guide the Harbin Custom officials and to promote a paperless office process.
