French Food Festival Attracts Harbin Foodies

In order to present a wide variety of French cuisine, Shangri-La Hotel in Harbin participated in the international Goût de France, or Good France food festival, in collaboration with the French Consulate-General in Shenyang on March 21.

The festival, initiated by the French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development in 2015, is a unique global event to be held at chosen restaurants across five continents.

This year, more than 3,000 restaurants across the world have joined the festival to serve French cuisine.

Shangri-La Hotel in Harbin cooked-up food for Francophiles across the city with strong support from the French Consulate General in Shenyang, Harbin Branch of ICBC, Air France and other organizations.

The festival began with a charity auction. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Yongsheng Primary School to improve the campus environment and teaching facilities.

According to the hotel, it will organize many more events so that people in the city can enjoy authentic food from around the world, and experience the culture and customs of different countries.
