Oktoberfest Kicks off at Kempinski Hotel Harbin

The Kempinski Hotel Harbin, in Heilongjiang province opened its month-long beer festival, the Salvador Oktoberfest, on Feb 19 and running through March 19, in the hotel’s Paulaner Restaurant and Bar, with Salvador beer, a stout that uses Munich's brewing techniques on tap.

There is plenty of surprising food that goes well with the freshly tapped beer, which dates back 375 years, to a time when the friars at St. Paul's Monastery began brewing it before Easter to supply energy.

Kempinski, founded in 1897, is Europe’s oldest luxury hotel brand, with tailored services, outstanding hospitality, and unique characteristics at each of its branches and a time honored tradition.
